GMDSS Area 3 Install
| This installation consisted of installing a full Area 3 console and emergency power source. | ||
| The main assembly is a Furuno RC-1815 Area 3 console. | This vessel uses Duplication of Equipment and has a shore based maintenance certificate from STC to meet GMDSS requirements. Here is the backup VHF Radio. | The distress button will initiate a distress call when pressed. |

| The vessel opted to have dual STC Computers installed adjacent to the unit (shown top right). This helped to conserve space that had been taken up by the newly installed console. | The 150W Single Side Band transceiver mounted just under the console. Strain relief and cable support are a good indication of a professional installation. | |
